Australian Outback Spectacular

Scorched Earth is a spectacular Australian outback, abstract acrylic painting that depicts one of the challenges related to Climate Change. I used this complimentary palette to give the painting unity, but I also wanted to convey a sense of ugency, express the fact that the ‘time’ bomb is ticking. So I used very HOT colours to slam the pending doom that awaits if we do not change our ways.

CLIMATE CHANGE COLLECTION: Most of us know that humanity is changing the natural balance of Earth. Industrialisation | mining | deforestation | nuclear testing | fracking | population growth all have an accumulative, negative impact on the planet. This body of work is in directly response to the damage we are having on our planet.

ABSTRACTION: Is not considered an accurate representation of the world around us. Basically it uses colour, forms and gestural mark making to convey the artist’s interpretation or vision. Abstraction is used to convey a story or evoke a feeling.
