Pet Portraits - Pricing Structure

The pricing cards below show our pricing for a 'standard' Pet Portrait. Our Pet Portraits are very detailed and accurately represent your pet.
Additional pets or detailed surroundings attract additional costs, so we will send you a quote before starting your artwork.

We will require a deposit once you accept the pricing, then we will proceed with your Pet Portrait commission.

  • Do you offer custom sized Pet Portraits?

    Yes we do! We only show our core sizes, otherwise we would have too many options displayed. Just send us your details and we shall send you a quote.

  • Do you only do drawings?

    No, we can do paintings as well. I have not had a commission for a Pet Portrait painting yet, when I complete a painting, I shall add it to the gallery.

  • How long does a Pet Portrait take to finish?

    The Short Answer: The average time from placing an order to delivery of your precious artwork is around 2 weeks. Special ‘urgent’ requests are sometimes shorter depending on my workload or if I have backorders.

    I’ll provide an estimated timeline and keep you informed of the progress.

    The Long Answer: Depending on the size, and the amount of detail required – a Pet Portrait can take anywhere between 2 hours and 100 hours. It is like the old saying “how long is a piece of string”. 

    *2 hours would be a Pet Portrait ‘headshot only’ A5 size

    *100 hours would be a large custom order with multiple pets and a background.

    The koala (titled: Rare Breed) is my longest drawing to date – 40 hours.

  • Do your pencil Pet Portraits smudge?

    Our pencil Pet Portraits do not smudge. We use fixative on all our drawings which binds the graphite to the paper.

    All drawings are on non-yellowing, acid-free archival-quality paper.

    *Due to the delicate nature of paper, we recommend all drawings to be professionally framed for the lifetime protection of your beloved Pet Portrait.

  • What kind of photos should I provide for a Pet Portrait?

    Clear, high-quality photos with good lighting are ideal for capturing your pet’s unique features. Photos that show their eyes, expressions, and details like fur texture work best, allowing me to create an accurate and heartfelt representation of your pet.

    File Format: .png or .jpeg only – File Size: 10MB maximum

  • Do you offer framing for Pet Portraits?

    Yes, we can provide framing for your commissioned artwork. We have a 20-year working relationship with a professional framing company in Castle Hill. Let us know your preferences, and we’ll discuss options that complement your piece.

  • Can you include multiple pets in one portrait?

    Yes, we can include multiple pets in one artwork. Let us know your preferences during the consultation, and we’ll design a composition that works beautifully.

  • What if I’m not happy with the finished portrait?

    We involve you throughout the process with progress updates. If adjustments are needed, we’re happy to make them to ensure your satisfaction.
